Featuring on our trainer spotlight this week is Mitch, an active individual with a passion for fitness, High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), strength and conditioning, and rehabilitation.

Mitch has been with Melbourne Yoga and Pilates in the Melbourne CBD for over 6 months, and runs our HIIT classes and Personal Training.

It was his work with the Cerebral Palsy Support Network that initially inspired Mitch to become a trainer as a way of helping others improve their quality of life through exercise. Mitch is a qualified Level 1 ASCA Strength & Conditioning coach with a Bachelor in Exercise Science and Human Movement, and is currently completing his Masters Degree of Clinical Exercise Physiology. Mitch also provides his strength and conditioning services to multiple sporting teams at both a semi-professional and state level.

When not working, Mitch keeps himself busy as a Senior Player at the Knox Football Club, and maintains his fitness through a combination of strength and conditioning, power-lifting and yoga. Outside of fitness, Mitch has a passion for good coffee and good music.

For anyone thinking of trying out one of Mitch’s HIIT classes, his advice to you is:

‘Go for it! The best thing about HIIT is that it can be scaled to your individual fitness and skill level to help you achieve your personal goals more efficiently and effectively.’ Mitch also praises the benefits of personal training – ‘Our personal training programs identify your goals and create a tailor-made pathway to help you achieve them with professional guidance, advice and support along the way.’
